- Petit Palais & Grand Palais — two Belle-Époque palaces facing each other. Seen perfectly from the road. 5 min.
- Assemblée Nationale — cross back over the Seine past the columns of the French parliament. 5 min.
- The Louvre — through the Carrousel arch to the pyramid courtyard. 10 min.
- Opéra Garnier — Haussmann's Paris at its most theatrical. 5 min.
- Place Vendôme — the column, the jewellers, perfect symmetry. 5 min.
- Saint-Germain-des-Prés — the Left Bank: cafés, galleries, the oldest church tower in Paris. 10 min.
- Notre-Dame — finish facing the cathedral from the river, where the towers fill the sky. 10 min.
